Amfiklia, or once-named DADI
On the northeastern slopes of the mountain Parnassos, 165 km from Athens and 49 km from Lamia, lies the town of Amfiklia or “Dadi” from where comes the name of our guesthouse “DADI Parnassus Mansion”.
Amfiklia is the biggest town in the area, has all the services available and is the capital of the homonymous Municipality. It is in the prefecture of Fthiotida, on the boundaries of Fokidos and Voiotia prefectures. It is 17 km away from Parnassos Ski Center and is very close to many beautiful locations, the National Forest of Parnassos and Oiti, as well as many monasteries, archaeological sites, and other beautiful villages like Polydrosos (or Souvala), Eptalofos (or Agoriani), etc.
The village is characterized by its beautiful stone mansions, the nice doorways, stone walls, narrow roads, the view to the lowlands, which is why the community is considered to be “traditional”.
You may ask us to provide suggestions on special routes and paths in Parnassus national forest, or mount. Kallidromo, for hiking, bicycle or car.
